Gladiolus "Matanzas" (Gladiolus) belongs to the large-flowered varieties. Large, ear-shaped inflorescence develops at the top of a long, strong stem that may grow up to 130 cm tall. Single flowers are creamy-white with pink eye in the middle. Gladiolus "Matanzas" looks particularly well planted on borders in larger groupings. You may also plant it alongside a fence or building wall in single-colour grouping or combined with other, differently coloured varieties.

Gladioli bulbs should be planted onto borders from middle of April until mid-May. Sunny, wind-sheltered sites prove to suit this cultivar best. Proper mineral and organic fertilization influences the scale of blooming, too. These plants prefer fertile, humous, permeable, yet water retaining soils. Gladioli are not frost resistant and need to be excavated before the frosts.

Each package contains 5 "Matanzas" gladiolus bulbs. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
