The Colored Hulk hosta is a low-growing variety with bicolour leaves. Fringed texture of the leaf blades and the intriguing colour combination are highly appreciated by gardeners and allotment owners. Colored Hulk shimmers with leaves that have malachite green centres surrounded by a wide dark green edge. Flowers of white or subtle purple-lavender colour, sit atop stiff, straight stems, and appear above the tuft of leaves from July to August. Magnificent, erect, 40 to 45 centimetres tall tufts may grow solitary or in larger groups. Hosta perfectly fits in home gardens, public greeneries, and parks. It is a great plant for a rockery, edges of a water reservoir, the vicinity of trees and shrubs.

Easy, trouble-free cultivation and excellent hardiness belong to main advantages of the species. Plant hosta rhizomes almost all year long. Those planted between April and August usually fare best.
