Calcium nitrate is a nitrogen and calcium garden fertiliser used to provide plants with these nutrients during periods of vigorous growth. It supports the development of above-ground plant parts and helps maintain the condition of the root system, which is especially important for vegetables, fruit plants and ornamentals. Thanks to its granular form, the product is easy to distribute in the soil and gradually makes nutrients available in the root zone. It can be included in a fertilising programme to help provide plants with steady growing conditions throughout the season.
This fertiliser supplies nitrogen, which is important for vigorous green growth and normal growth processes. The presence of calcium supports root development and helps improve soil structure, allowing plants to take up water and nutrients more effectively. The product does not acidify the growing medium, so it can be used on different soil types.
Total nitrogen (N) 15%.
Calcium oxide (CaO) 27%.
Calcium nitrate is intended for fertilising outdoor vegetables, berry plants, fruit trees, potted plants and crops grown under cover. It can be applied both before sowing and as a top dressing during the growing season. The recommended application period is from March to August, when plants have the greatest demand for nutrients.
The recommended top-dressing rates are from 0.5 to 4.0 kg per 100 m², depending on the crop type. Root vegetables and stone fruit trees require 1.8-3.6 kg per 100 m², onion and leafy vegetables up to 1.8 kg per 100 m², strawberries up to 3.6 kg per 100 m², and grapevines 0.5-1.0 kg per 100 m². One handful of fertiliser is approximately 50 g of product.
Spread the measured amount of granules evenly around the plants or over the soil surface, then mix it into the top layer of soil. After application, watering is recommended to allow the fertiliser to dissolve gradually and move into the root zone. Depending on plant needs, apply 2-3 times during the growing season.
The 5 kg pack of calcium nitrate enables effective fertilising of various plant groups and supplies essential nutrients during the growth period. Regular use according to the recommendations supports healthy crop development and helps maintain plants in good condition throughout the season.
