Calcium nitrate is a universal nitrogen-calcium fertiliser that supplies plants with two key nutrients: nitrogen and calcium. Used regularly, it improves the growth of green mass and supports root system development. Thanks to the easily absorbable form of the ingredients, it is suitable for vegetable, fruit and ornamental crops alike. It is an indispensable product for caring for garden plants throughout the entire growing season.
Calcium nitrate is a granular fertiliser intended for soil application. It contains 15% nitrogen (N) and 27% calcium oxide (CaO), which means it simultaneously stimulates vigorous growth and strengthens plant tissue structure. Nitrogen supports lush greenery and a fast growth rate, while calcium regulates water management and supports the development of strong, healthy roots. The fertiliser does not acidify the soil, so it can be used safely in many crops, including on acidic soils.
The product is intended for fertilising field vegetables, greenhouse crops, berry plants, fruit trees, flowers and potted plants. It works particularly well on acidified soils. Calcium nitrate can be used both before sowing and as a top dressing during the period of intensive plant growth from March to August. Regular fertilisation ensures even development and abundant yields.
The fertiliser rates should be adjusted to the type of crop and soil fertility. Top dressing rates in kilograms per 100 m² are as follows: root vegetables 1.8-3.6 kg, early potatoes up to 1.8 kg, bulb and leafy vegetables up to 1.8 kg, strawberries up to 3.6 kg, grapevine 0.5-1.0 kg, field crops 2.0-4.0 kg, stone fruit trees and small fruits 1.8-3.6 kg. Depending on the crop, the fertiliser is applied 2-3 times during the growing season.
Spread the calcium nitrate evenly around the plants and gently mix it into the top layer of soil. After application, it is recommended to water the plants thoroughly, which helps dissolve the fertiliser and move the nutrients into the root zone. One handful of fertiliser corresponds to approximately 50 g of product. The fertiliser can be used on all types of soil, regardless of pH, without the risk of acidifying the growing medium.
Regular fertilisation with calcium nitrate visibly improves plant condition, increases growth rate, intensifies leaf colour and strengthens the root system. The calcium contained in the fertiliser helps reduce fruit splitting and physiological disorders. Thanks to the balance between nitrogen and calcium, plants are more resilient to environmental stress, and the soil retains a beneficial structure for longer.
Calcium nitrate is a reliable fertiliser that supports healthy plant development and improves soil structure without acidifying it. Choose it to help your garden grow vigorously and delight with healthy, vivid greenery throughout the season.
