The Mediterranee gladiolus is a unique plant that delights with a sophisticated, light purple colour. Its subtle flowers that lie alternately at a strong stem look like light pastel-coloured cloud. A smooth lavender-blue-or-purple colour is accentuated by the creamy-white perianth. Slender stems that bear flowers in summer grow 80 to 120 centimetres tall. The Mediterranee gladiolus is a real hit of a garden flower bed. It looks equally great in planters as a decoration of a balcony, or terrace. This enchanting variety wonderfully complements other gladioli that take on a similar colour. The long-lived gladioli flowers are cut and made into bouquets and arrangements.

We advise to plant bulbs of the Mediterranee gladiolus in spring, from April to May. In order to let the plants take root, put them about 10 centimetres deep and 15 centimetres apart. A sunny and sheltered place proves to be good for all gladioli. A fertile, humous soil with a neutral reaction should suit those plants. It should also be moderately moist. Gladioli are not hardy and cannot winter in the earth. Excavated and cleaned bulbs should be transferred to dry, cool rooms that are secured from frost. Keep bulbs dry in airy baskets and plant again in the garden and in pots in spring.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
