"Mini Garden" series' fresh leaved coriander for balcony and terrace cultures is a very aromatic annual plant that is very easy in cultivation. It is one of the most important herb seasonings in cuisines all around the world. Young coriander (Coriandrum sativum) leaves resemble parsley greens, as their characteristic, sinuate, flat and smooth leaf blades sit on thick, fleshy petioles. Taste and aroma of the coriander leaves may also bring parsley to mind, even though they are much more distinct and stronger. Freshly cut coriander leaves are a great addition to salads, fish and hot meat.
The plant offered here is widely used in traditional herbal medicine in mixtures that help fight through indigestion and intestine parasites. Coriander oil contains linalool that shows diastolic effects. Coriandrum sativum should also be incorporated into liver-detoxifying diet.
In order to grow aromatic, fresh, valuable coriander leaves you only need to sow the seeds that are available here to standard pot soil in a pot or balcony box. Access to sunlight, warmth and regular watering are necessary to enjoy abundant harvest of dense, aromatic leaves. Young coriander leaves may be harvested already three weeks after the sow and may be repeatedly picked, as the need arises, during the whole vegetation period.
Packages available in our store contain 1 g of "Mini Garden" series coriander seeds for growing fresh leaves.
