The Monte Gordo gladiolus is a plant that should satisfy all those who look for flowers with a stylish and intriguing appearance. Flower petals in a charming combination of creamy white and light pink have frilled edges that give them an exotic look. Stiff, pointed leaves that tightly encapsulate the base of the stem perfectly complement the pastel coloured flowers. These tender blooms that richly cover the upper part of the stem will dazzle both at a summer flower bed and in a vase at home. A proudly standing gladiolus might tower over other plants and add special character to "its" part of the garden. A group consisting of about dozen plants of the same variety is the sight that you should be able to enjoy in your garden, particularly if it comes to such a beauty like Monte Gordo.

You can achieve success in growing gladioli if you follow a few simple rules. Plant them in spring, end of April/ beginning of May. Put the bulbs into a warmed, dried soil that should give plants a head start. Choose a site exposed to sunlight and sheltered at the same time for your gladiolus border. Tall, large plants need a fertile, cultivated, permeable soil that has been enriched with compost in autumn. Plant the corms about 10 centimetres deep or deeper in sandy soil. Large gladioli should be planted at 10 to 20 centimetres apart. You must dig out gladiolus bulbs in autumn and store them in a dry room over the winter.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
