The Mr Lincoln large-flowered rose is a truly spectacular perennial. Its most stunning feature are flowers consisting of velvety, dark red petals. Those blooms measure up to 11 centimetres in diameters and sit single, or in small groups, atop strong, erect, and thorny stems. Presented cultivar is considered one of the most valuable red-flowered Grandiflora roses due to the unusual satin surface of the petals and strong fragrance that surrounds the shrub. Flowers of the Mr Lincoln rose appear from mid-June and gradually develop until the beginning of autumn. They stay on the plant for a long time and retain saturated colour until they dry. Shrubs of the presented rose grow rather vigorously, over one metre tall on average. Erect, compact shrubs consist of first crimson-brown, then dark green, leathery, matte leaves. Resistance to diseases and freezing is yet another advantage of the presented variety.

The variety that we offer here perfectly complements perennial arrangements. Large-flowered rose looks great both alone and in a larger grouping. A classic red rose shrub looks wonderful on a lawn or next to the home entrance. It harmonizes with lower growing plants and other rose varieties. A group of roses can adorn a home garden, square, or showcase spots. This plant delivers excellent cut flowers too.

Roses prefer sunny or partially shady spots. They cannot stand too hot spots where the air stands still. Well-fertilized, moist soils that contain plenty of humous suit their development.

Supply rose seedling with water before planting - it is best done by putting it into a larger container filled with water for several hours. Then, plant it in hole twice the size of the root ball. Cover it with soil, press firmly, and water abundantly. During the first few years of growing, we recommend protecting plants from the winter by covering it with a soil hill at the shoot base.
