One of the most popular and commonly grown mushrooms in such countries as Japan, China or Korea. The honey-brown cap may be flat or slightly convex and sits atop relatively long, 8 cm tall, stem. Nameko has a slightly sticky and slimy cap surface what slightly resembles the slippery jacks. It is commonly used in medicine, mostly due to its nutritional value and the vitamins and minerals it contains.
