The Orchid Candy daylily is an abundantly growing perennial that produces splendid pink flowers with a cherry-red eye and green-yellow perianth. These blooms reach a diameter of 11 cm and are adorned with a subtle frill on the edge of fleshy thick petals. Flowers that develop in July and August sit atop a naked stem. They are gathered in irregular clusters that picturesquely sway over the tufts of linear, grass-like leaves. The Orchid Candy variety belongs to tetraploid plants what means that it is vigorous and better prepared for drought. One plant produces about 200 flower buds in one season. A mature Orchid Candy daylily that has taken root on its site grows 50 to 70 centimetres tall. Presented variety looks phenomenal in dense plantings alongside pavements, paths, it will dazzle in groups on lawns too.

Daylilies are undemanding plants that would grow even in average garden soil yet would look the most attractive planted at a site with a fertile and moist soil. The maintenance of the tufts is limited to removing dead foliage in spring and occasional watering during periods of drought. Virtually everyone can grow the almost maintenance-free daylilies.

Indicated price is valid for 1 premium quality daylily rhizome of the presented variety. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
