The Partitura tulip is a captivating bulb flower that can cheer up any garden. This low growing, compact plant produces broad, grey-green leaves among which single flowers appear. characteristic feature of this group are wide, elongated petals that give flowers a neat appearance. Shapely, bright yellow flower cups with a black bottom appear very early in the garden, already in March. As soon as the spring sun shares its warmth and light, flowers of this variety open wide, resembling golden stars. Short and sturdy stems of this variety make it suitable for borders, lawns, and colourful compositions in containers. This lavishly blooming tulip that comes in expressive colours perfectly complements rock gardens and plantings in public places, such as city squares.

September and October are the time to plant tulips. Put medium-sized bulbs narrow tip up, ten to twelve centimetres deep. We recommend growing these plants in a moderately compact, fertile soil with a neutral reaction. It should be constantly moderately moist in spring and slightly drier in summer. Tulips usually require two rounds of fertilizing, one right after planting and the second after the first leaves appear in spring. Topping wilted flowers strengthens bulbs for the next season. Tulips are not sensitive to low temperatures, yet it is advisable to cover the site to protect them from extreme frost during the coldest winter months.
