Perry's White poppy is a spectacular variety of subtle colour. Plants that grow 50 to 70 centimetres tall produce white flowers with a delicate hint of pink. Dark, almost black spots are scattered at the base of each cup. A thick pistil surrounds a ruff of black, fluffy anthers, sits in the centre of each flower. Coarse hairs cover pale green shoots and deeply dentate leaves. The Oriental poppy of the presented variety is a plant worth inviting to any garden, regardless of its style. The unique beauty of garden poppies requires a good company. Lupins, foxgloves, bluebells, cornflowers, and chrysanthemums can accompany tall poppy tufts. Poppy flowers, despite their low durability, are recommended for nature-inspired bouquets. A more durable solution is to obtain poppy heads for dry compositions. Oriental poppy disappears after flowering. This is how it protects itself from the summer heat. New leaves appear in autumn, when the weather is cooler and rainy.

Sunny situations are suitable for the cultivation of poppies. Seedlings of this species develop best in fertile, soft, and compact soil. We recommend to loosen it and apply a drainage layer at the bottom of planting holes before putting root seedlings inside. Poppies like to be fed with natural fertilizers. Compost, that you can use to mulch the area around poppy tufts, works well.
