Pumpkin ‘Ambar’ is a shrubby variety with dark green fruit that grow 2 to 4 kilograms in weight. The flesh is fairly thick and hard, and has a yellowish-orange colour. Pumpkin ‘Ambar’ contains a great amount of beta-carotene and is commonly used as an igredient in a wide range of pumpkin recipes, from soups to confectionery to brewing.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in May; sow 2 to 5 seeds in each position, 5 to 4 centimetres deep, in 2x1.5m spacings. The plants grow best in moist fertile soils. The fruit can be stored in a dry and cool room up to February.
Each packet contains three grams of seeds.
