Large squash "Big Max" is one of the best varieties of this universal vegetable. It is sometimes referred to as "Halloween squash", because it is often used for creating large, decorative lampions during the American ghost festival. "Big Max" is also a great material for homemade preserves. Delicious juice, pastes, soups, pies or pickles can be prepared with its juicy, orange flesh. It can also be frozen.
"Big Max" squash bears fruit approximately 4 months after the start of cultivation, in September and October. The fruit are huge, a single squash can weigh up to 45 kg. Both the skin and flesh are evenly coloured in saturated orange, and the shape of the squashes is regularly round.
