The Sabor gladiolus has all the makings of the garden king of summer with its flowers that take on the colour of a setting sun. Blooms that sparkle with a combination of warm colours and frilled petals present an exotic side of gladioli. They look good in a larger cluster, where the flowers melt in a large colourful spot. Large flower cups that densely sit atop the stems are adorned with think pink stripes. They add an extra dimension to plantings that lack warmth and freshness. Gladioli can also be planted as seasonal decorations in planters and pots that can adorn a terrace or the home entrance. Several flowering stems in a vase can turn in stylish interior decoration.

The time of planting gladioli depends heavily on the weather. The window for planting the bulbs usually opens at the end of April. If the spring is cold, we recommend waiting until mid-May. The ideal gladioli-growing site should be sunny and sheltered. This plant requires a fertile, fresh, permeable soil with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction. Gladioli should be separated by 15 to 20 centimetre spacings when grown in groups. Put corms 8 to 12 centimetres deep so the plants are able to take root properly. Gladioli do not belong to plants that winter in the ground. Dig out the bulbs in autumn and store until the planting next spring.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
