Young barley (Hordeum L.) sprouting seeds will help you to diversify your diet in a healthy and tasty way. Fresh, just a few centimeters long barley shoots have a tender, pleasant taste and are a great addition to salads, bread, cured meat and cheese. They contain valuable nutrients that are even better assimilable in young plants. Barley sprouts are rich in provitamin A, B vitamins, including B9 - folic acid, vitamin C, iron, kalium, magnesium, phosphorus and calcium. They also contain antioxidants. Barley sprouts eaten regularly improve your body's resistance, deacidify the body, make losing weight easier and beneficially affect the nervous system.

Growing sprouts at home is quick and easy. You only need to soak the seeds and place them in the sprouter or in a jar covered with gauze. The container should be kept in a warm and light place, out of reach of direct sunlight. Sprouts need regular rinsing and will be ready to be eaten within 3 to 6 days.
