The Ted's Frizzle gladiolus presents an amazing colour and form show in a charming plant edition. Its mesmerizing, frizzled flowers that take a delightful coral pink colour with darker edges and a washed out perianths are the stars of that show. The stylish appearance of that variety does not require company of other flowers to decorate the area. The subtle, yet not bland colour of the Ted's Frizzle gladiolus perfectly fits onto borders, a larger rock garden or the last line of an arrangement under a building wall. The gladiolus of the presented variety is a regular at florist shops. Flower specialists can turn its wavy flowers into incredible bouquets and decorations. The show begins in the second half of July on the strong, up to 120 centimetres tall stems.

Despite its unique beauty, Ted's Frizzle is easy to grow. Just stick to a few rules and enjoy it as a staple plant in your garden collection. Planting of the bulbs outside takes place in April and May. Gladiolus is light-loving species that prefers sunny situations. Partial shade with slightly dispersed light should work too. The flowering stalks can be very heavy. A site sheltered form wind and rain protects them from breaking. Plant bulbs 8 to 10 centimetres deep into the soil that has been enriched with compost the autumn before. The ground must be humous, fertile, permeable, and constantly moist. Keeping 15 to 20 cm spacings between plants lets them grow healthy. Dig out the bulbs before the winter, remove the excess soil, dry slightly and store indoors until the planting in spring.
