The Allegretto tulip (Tulipa) is an adorable double late variety that produces XXL-sized flowers. They open at the end of April and sit atop strong, 40 to 45 cm long stems. Each flower of the presented variety consists of circa a dozen oval, shiny, wine red petals that are surrounded by the thin golden edging. This exceptionally beautiful colour combination makes the Allegretto tulip one of the most sought after late varieties. It perfectly fits into vases, but it is a great border decoration, too. The variety that we offer here will harmonize with the Bordeaux-red Spring Song tulip, the carmine-yellow Aladdin or the golden-red Banja Luka.

This perennial does not have any special requirements in regard to the site and will grow well in every sufficiently permeable garden soil on a sunny or partially shady site. Plant tulip bulbs late in autumn in holes, whose depth equals double or triple bulb height.
