Tulip "Allegretto" (Tulipa) is a dazzling late double variety that produces XXL-sized blooms. They develop at the end of April and sit atop strong, 40-45 cm long stems. Each flower of the variety offered here in our store consists of at least a dozen, oval, shiny, deeply red coloured petals with a thin golden edge. The extraordinarily attractive colour combination makes the "Allegretto" tulip to the most sought after late varieties. It is a perfect cut flower and fashionable border decoration at the same time. In order to reach the most spectacular effects during the flowering period we recommend to plant those tulips in large groupings. This proposed cultivar harmonizes well with the crimson-red "Spring Song" tulip, the carmine-red-yellow "Alladin" or the golden-red "Banja Luka".
The perennial offered here does not have any extreme expectations regarding the site and will thrive in every permeable garden soil on a sunny or partially shady site. Plant tulip bulbs late in autumn in holes two or three heights of the bulb deep.
One package contains 5 "Allegretto" tulip bulbs sized 11/12 cm. The most important growing instructions have been included in the package information.
