White edging lobelia (Lobelia erinus) is a small, yet very attractive plant. This annual forms compact, round tufts that grow 10 - 15 cm tall. Small snow-white blooms emerge all summer long until autumn. Garden lobelia, as this plant is also called, is perfectly fitted for edgings with its compact, flowery tufts. It will also look great on lower borders, in rock gardens and will fill empty spaces between other plants. It will complement all arrangements planted in pots and boxes.
Lobelia is an undemanding plant. It needs medium fertile, moist soil to grow properly. It likes warmth and sun, but you need to remember to water it regularly. Lobelia seeds are sown in early spring indoors. Boxes fit that purpose, only after the seedlings have grown a bit they are pricked out into pots or seeding trays, a few per each container. Seedlings are transplanted to the permanent location after the risk of spring frosts is over. Tufts of young plants are planted in the soil in 15 - 20 cm spacings, creating adorable pillows.
Each package contains 0.2 g of white edging lobelia seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
