Peony 'Alexander Fleming' (Paeonia) produces large, double flowers in an intense pink shade. The densely packed petals form showy, rounded blooms with a slight pearly sheen and a pleasant fragrance. The flowers appear on strong, upright stems rising above dense, dark green foliage. Thanks to its striking colour and large blooms, this variety is one of the more frequently chosen for perennial borders and for cutting.
The best time for planting is March and April.
Place the bare root at a depth of 5-7 cm.
The recommended spacing between plants is 50-60 cm.
The plant reaches a height of 70-100 cm.
Flowers from June to July.
The plant is frost hardy and copes well with Polish winters, but young bare roots are worth covering for winter.
Peony 'Alexander Fleming' performs well in perennial borders and in gardens with a classic character. The large, fragrant flowers are also suitable for cutting and stay fresh in a vase for a long time. It looks best planted singly or in small groups.
