The Alicia gladiolus is a spectacular plant that guarantees a stunning show on a summer border. Its majestic tall stems that hold long ears of white-lime-green flowers are unmatched in their beauty when they open. Flowers present a handful of yellow spots and pale pink at the edges of bottom petals. The tall, 100 to 120 centimetres, stems bear flowers in July and August. This species is very often grown exclusively for cut flowers. Gladioli provide florists with the elegant and durable material. Thanks to their size they are perfectly fitted for decorating ballrooms, conference rooms, residences, and places of worship. The large-flowered gladioli are plants that always leave their mark. The abundant, colourful creations perfectly complement a flowering garden in summer.

Gladioli should be planted on sunny sites that are sheltered from strong wind. They need a well-cultivated, humous, and permeable soil to produce more flowers. The optimal soil reaction for this flowering plant should lie within the 6.5 to 7.0 range. Water them as the need arises, with a thin stream that would soak into the soil well. Avoid pouring water on leaves.

Schedule planting gladiolus bulbs for the end of April and beginning of May. Keep plants eight to twenty centimetres apart, put corms eight to ten centimetres deep. The too shallowly planted gladioli are more prone to be broken by the wind and water shortages. Rich flowers clusters of those noble plants might require supports.

Presented species does not belong to hardy ones, you must dig out bulbs in autumn. It should happen after mid-September and throughout October. Cut off green parts and let the bulbs dry in the sun or in an airy room. Clean soil rests and store indoors until the next season. Keep the storage room cool and airy.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
