The bat-faced cupeha "Summer Medley" (Cuphea miniata Summer Medley) belongs to a group of unproblematic annual plants that will pay off with long, abundant blooming for meeting their minimal cultivation requirements. This bushy, low growing (up to 40 cm in height) plant sprouts numerous, thickly branched stems that are adorned with multicoloured blooms from June until October. Just take a look at their decorative, unusual shape - fused sepals form long tubes that are surrounded by separated petals. Two top ones are larger, while the bottom four is visibly smaller. The variety offered in our store produces red, pink and purple blossoms.
The seeds of the bat-faced cuphea "Summer Medley" should be sown under covers from March until mid-April. Seedlings are hardened one week before the transplantation, that occurs in the second half of May. You ought to choose sunny sites with light, permeable, not too fertile soil. Compact blooming tufts look adorable on borders and in larger containers on terraces and balconies.
The package contains 0.3 g of bat-faced cuphea "Summer Medley" seeds. The sow-by date and growing guide have been printed on the back side of the package.
