Pinewoods Coneflower is an annual plant, which grows comparatively tall, from 60 to 80 centimetres in height. It features highly decorative large flowers whose petals are two-tone. The mixed Pinewoods Coneflowers produce the flowers in magnificent reddish-yellow and yellowish-brown that greatly contrast with other plants. This is a fantastic choice for larger groupings; the plants have an exceptionally high value for a cut flower.
Growing: sow the seeds in covered pallet planters or in planter boxes from March to April. Plant out into a permanent position in 30x30cm spacings in mid-May. Alternatively, you can sow the seeds directly into the soil from April to May. Thin too dense seedlings in 30cm spacings. The plants are in flower from July to October and prefer sunny positions.
