The multiflowered 'Karo' bean is a late dwarf variety. It is mostly grown for dry seeds. Its plants develop short pods that contain 3 to 4 seeds each at about 2/3 of height. These seeds are creamy-white and cylindrically oval. They are quite large and covered with a shiny skin with a visible veining. This variety stands out with excellent productivity and delicious taste. Seeds of the 'Karo' bean are intended for various uses. They taste great in soups and vegetarian dishes. They fit well into other dishes, too. Bean belongs to the vegetables that are used not only to meet the current nutritional needs, but are frozen, made into preserves and ready-to-use canned or jarred meals. Dry bean seeds constitute a rich source of proteins, vitamins and minerals. It is particularly recommended for vegetarians and vegans as a rich source of protein.

The vegetation period of the 'Karo' bean is slightly longer and lasts about 120-125 days. Sow the seeds onto the field in the second half of May. The recommended spacings between the rows should measure 40-50 cm. The spacings between individual plants should reach 25 cm. The sowing depth depends on the soil type and seed size. The 'Karo' bean seeds should be harvested in September. Harvest the well dried pods before the autumn rains.

The multiflowered bean is a thermophilic plant, so plant it on sunny and wind-sheltered sites.  It has slightly higher requirements than the ordinary bean varieties. It requires a permeable, well cultivated soil. Bean plants grow well in all fertile, quickly warming soils that are rich in humus. The earth should also be at least moderately moist. It requires watering during the crucial development stages - during germination and the pod development stage. It yields the best harvest in the second year after the site has been fertilized with manure. It does not tolerate waterlogging, too heavy, too light, acidic or crusting soils.
