Begonia Fimbriata Pink has large flowers with distinctly fringed petals. Their irregular edges give the plant a lighter, more relaxed look than classic double begonias. The vivid pink stands out clearly against the green foliage, making the plant noticeable even in larger arrangements. Throughout the season it continues to produce new buds, so it keeps its decorative appeal for many weeks.
Tubers are best planted from February to March indoors, in a bright room and in a light, free-draining substrate. The plants can be moved outside once the risk of frost has passed.
Cover the tubers with a layer of soil about 5-7 cm thick to ensure they are set firmly in the growing medium.
Allow 25-30 cm between plants so they have room to develop freely.
The plant grows to about 25-35 cm tall and keeps a low, compact habit.
The first flowers appear in June, and flowering continues until October.
Begonia does not overwinter in the ground. After the season ends, the tubers should be lifted and stored in a dry, cool place until spring.
Begonia Fimbriata Pink is ideal for container growing on balconies, terraces and in home gardens. It can also be planted in beds alongside other flowering plants. Thanks to the intense flower colour, it provides a bold decorative accent. It is also recommended for arrangements with other begonia varieties or plants with contrasting foliage.
