Begonia - yellow brings strong, clear colour that instantly brightens balcony plantings. The double flowers remain clearly visible even in part shade. Over time, the plant fills out and naturally develops a trailing habit, so it looks best in raised or hanging containers. New buds keep appearing throughout the season, maintaining an even display of flowers all summer long.
Tubers are best planted from February to March indoors in a bright, warm place. The plants can be moved outside once the risk of frost has passed.
Place the tuber at a depth of about 5-7 cm in a light, free-draining substrate.
Leave 25-30 cm between plants so the shoots can spread freely.
The plant grows to about 25-35 cm in height, forming a trailing habit.
Flowering begins in June and continues until October.
The plant does not overwinter in the ground - after the season, the tubers should be lifted and stored in a dry, cool place until spring.
This variety combines well with plants bearing blue, purple or white flowers, creating distinct colour contrasts. It works well in arrangements with a contrasting character and as a bright element that balances darker plantings.
