Black Millet is an annual grass that grows relatively tall, from 100 to 150 centimetres in height. Its straight and rigid blades produce a unique greenish-brown inflorescence at the tops; each inflorescence grows 10 to 15 centimetres in length. Black Millet looks beautiful especially in flower beds, and serves as a great decoration in flower arrangements – both in fresh and dried ones.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into well-drained soil from April to mid-May. For optimal growth, provide them with 40-75cm spacings. This variety loves warm conditions, therefore make sure that the temperature is high enough for it to thrive.
