Calla "Flame" (Zantedeschia) is a plant producing magnificent blooms that can be grown in garden and in pots. The "Flame" variety develops truly fiery blooms that take on a bright orange colour turning deep red towards outer part of the petals. These plants take on an erect habit consisting of green, white-dotted leaves and strong stem carrying a flower. The variety presented here grows 35-40 cm tall. Its tremendous blooms will delight you from June until October. Calla will become a queen of every garden arrangement and ideally fits into containers that decorate balconies, terraces or home interiors.

Callas should be planted in May onto fertile and constantly moist soil. Peat and clay soils with high humus content suit these plants best. Choose a warm, bright locations for cultivation of calla, although this species also tolerates partial shade. This plant is not frost-resistant. Calla bulbs need to be excavated before the winter, cleaned of dirt, dried and store until spring in an airy and cool place.
