The Cleopatra phlox is a perennial with erect, tall shoots and lush, brightly coloured flowers. It grows in dense tufts that consist of non-branching stems that are densely covered with leaves. This wonderful variety is distinguished by an unusual, exceptionally saturated colour of flowers. The red-pink, five-petal flowers form a conical cluster with a rounded tip. The plant blooms in summer, from the beginning of July. The gradually developing inflorescences adorn the garden until September. The melliferous phloxes are frequently visited by pollinating insects. Phloxes look best in groups, although their charm remains undisputed when planted single too. This reliably flowering species is an institution in rustic and country-styled gardens. You can cut the long, 60-80 centimetre tall stems and use them in bouquets and floristic compositions.

This long-lived perennial grows best in humous, fertile, and permeable soil. Make sure that the soil stays moist in summer. Do not forget to revive plants every few years by splitting the rhizomes and transplanting the parts. We also recommend to feed plants with a multi-component fertilizer in spring.

We hereby offer one seedling of the Cleopatra phlox. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
