The common blanket flower "Kobold" (Gaillardia aristata) is a short-lived perennial with incredibly beautiful, flaming flowers that last throughout the summer. The proposed variety develops up 12-cm wide inflorescences. The magnificent, convex centres of the rusty red flower heads are surrounded by tongue-shaped red-golden petals. The whole plant grows up to 30-70 cm tall and looks great in the foreground and in background of perennial borders thanks to the erect, upright habit. Since the flowers of the common blanket flower are extremely sturdy, the species offered here is ideal for cut flowers. Vividly coloured flower heads of the variety offered in our store can be admired from June to the end of September.

It is recommended to sow gaillardia seeds to seedbed or into boxes in spring. The well developed seedlings can be moved to borders in September. The plant is very easy to grow and does not require any special site. It develops the largest and most beautifully coloured flowers at sunny sites. The soil needs to be permeable and humous. Common blanket flower will bloom profusely and reliably for at least 5 years at the sites that do not waterlog.

One package contains 1 g of the "Kobold" common blanket flower seeds. The sow-by date and growing instructions have been printed at the back side of the package.
