The "Dresdner" common stock variety mix (Matthiola incana annua flore plenum) is the one and only selection of double-flowered plants. Common stock, an abundantly flowering, vigorously growing annual plant easily wins hearts of gardeners and allotment owners. Its up to 50 cm tall flowering stalks take on an attractive erect habit. These stiff, unbranched stems end with rich clusters of large, densely packed double flowers. The bottom part of the stem is decorated with a bunch of compound leaves that consist of smaller lanceolate and pubescent leaves. The erect, abundantly blooming and beautifully scented common stock delights with the most beautiful colours of the summer: bright purple, fuchsia, a broad palette of pastel pink notes and clean white.
The variety mix that is available in our store can be grown both from seedlings and from the direct sow in May. The plants grown from seedlings developed in spring at home in pots and seeding trays bloom the earliest - already at the beginning of June. The vigorous "Dresdner" common stock remains charming almost all summer long, until the end of August. Thanks to its erect habit, unusual length and abundance of flower clusters this plant forms a splendid background for annual and perennial compositions. We recommend to grow Brompton stock in rows or loose groups. A colour variety mix will rejuvenate and diversify every flower bed or lawn. It will also supply you with quality material for fresh bouquets. The sweet scented common stock flowers attract pollinating insects and make chilling in the garden even more pleasant. They look particularly charming in compositions with the tender cockscomb, California poppy and poppy, as well as tufts of sweet alyssum, edging lobelia and garden verbena.
Each package contains 0.5 grams of the "Dresdner" common stock seeds. The growing tips and the sow-by date can be found in the product information.
