Coral Bells are a unique perennial plant that grows 40 to 60 centimetres in height. It has lovely diminutive ruby flowers that appear from May to the end of July. Coral Bells is recommended to be grown in rockeries or on terraces. Additionally, thanks to its superb decorative value, it is often used as a cut flower for making outstanding flower arrangements.
Growing: sow the seeds under heated cover from February to late May. The seeds germinate in 10 to 20 days at 20oC. Due to a very small size of the seedlings, they need to be pricked out in larger numbers. Plant out into a permanent position from August to September. The plants require fresh fertile humus soils in sunny or semi-shaded positions. Half a gram of seeds produces around one thousand plants.
