Corn lily Marquette is a plant worth thinking about when you wish to decorate your garden with a lesser-known species. Its delicate, graceful, creamy-white flowers with dark burgundy eyes in the middle grow on slender, unbranched stems. As befits a representative of the iris family, the leaves of the plant are long, sword-shaped, and uniformly green. Corn lily (Ixia) blooms in June and July. The six-petalled, radially symmetrical flowers grow in clusters at shoot tips.
