Dahlia 'Kelvin Floodlight' is an excellent choice if you are looking for truly huge yellow flowers in the garden. Its petals form giant rounded blooms that can be seen from a distance. The plant grows fairly tall, so it is best planted towards the back of a border, where it will easily brighten the space. Importantly for such massive flowers, this variety has strong stems and stays upright well without bending under their weight.
Plant the tubers in spring, from April to May.
The recommended planting depth is 5-7 cm.
Plant 30-40 cm apart.
This variety reaches 80-100 cm in height.
Flowers from July to October.
This plant is not frost-hardy, so it does not overwinter in the ground.
Dahlia 'Kelvin Floodlight' looks best in group plantings, where its large flowers create a uniform, bright block of colour. It works well in the middle of a border and as a cut flower - the stiff stems hold the heavy flower heads well. Planting at least three gives a fuller visual effect.
Each batch of tubers is carefully checked to maintain good product quality. The tubers come from reputable Dutch production.
The pack contains 1 tuber. The label includes basic growing information.
