Dahlia "Lake Ontario" (Dahlia) is a true beauty whose flowers will fill your garden with bright colours. Double inflorescences are filled with whorled, yellow, red-edged ray flowers. A single plant of this variety takes form of a dense tuft that may grow 90-110 cm tall. Blooming period of this cultivar lasts from June to October. "Lake Ontario" dahlia will reign over garden borders. We recommend to plant it in smaller groups or place in the centre of an arrangement so it can fully put its beauty on display.

Plant dahlia rhizomes into permeable, loosened and rich soil. We recommend to mix the soil with compost or mineral fertilizer in spring, before start of the culture. Rhizomes should be planted directly on borders in May. Choose a sunny and wind-sheltered site, where the plants would bloom long and abundantly. Dahlias are not frost-resistant, hence they need to be excavated before the winter and stored in a dark and cool room.
