Dahlia Melody Swing (Dahlia) is a variety intended for cultivation in pots and other containers. Low growing, compact tufts of this cultivar reach 30–40 cm of height. Blooms of this charming variety take on a beautiful, pink–orange colour and develop from beginning of July until first frosts. The Melody Swing variety that thrives in pots as balcony or terrace decoration, would work equally well on garden borders and flower beds.

Melody Swing dahlia rootstocks should be planted end of April/ beginning of May. Choose a sunny or partially shady spot that is sheltered from the wind. Enriching ground with compost or mineral fertilizer is recommended before planting. This species is frost–sensitive and therefore the rootstocks need to be dug out before first frosts and store indoors.
