The 'Roselily Samantha' lily (Lilium orientalis) stands out from other well-known oriental lilies. This garden maverick will dazzle you with the exotic charm of its huge, double flowers that take on a contrasting colouring. This proud representative of the 'Roselily' cultivar group develops erect, bowl-shaped inflorescences that consist of at least four full whorls of petals. It looks like a huge, unique rose when fully opened. The intriguing colouring of its petals also attracts attention. They are bright raspberry pink with white edges. The dark speckles at the bases of the tongue-shaped, slightly corrugated petals add an elegant, slightly wild touch to the flowers. The 'Roselily Samantha' lily excretes an intense scent that is sweet, fresh and pleasant. The presented medium tall (70 to 90 centimetres) lily cultivar fits into almost all garden arrangements - into single species perennial groups, mixed flower beds and places of relaxation. You can grow it in pots and for cut flowers too.

Bulbs of the 'Samantha' lily should be planted in spring on sunny or partially shady situations. Oriental lilies prefer fertile, humous, slightly acidic soils that are sufficiently permeable. The proper drainage that prevents waterlogging ensures successful wintering. Use standard garden soil with a drainage layer of expanded clay aggregate or gravel in pot cultivation.
