Orange, extremely late dwarf field tomato 'Lolek' is a valuable cultivar intended for cultivation in home gardens and long-term storing. It belongs to the determinate varieties that do not require topping. It produces large (100 - 120 g), sweet, delicious, round or slightly flattened, barely ribbed fruit. Their skin is bright orange, while the flesh dark red. These tomatoes do not develop green shoulders. 'Lolek' tomato shows tolerance to bacterial leaf spot and resistance to Verticillium wilt. Its fruit may be consumed raw, but since they do not break and are resistant to other damages, you may store them in a cool cellar for an extended period of time. They also provide great raw material for preserves, especially juices and purees. Tomatoes in general are rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, and other valuable carotenoids that positively affect your health. They are a well known potassium source, so they cannot be left out from diets of people that take on physical exercise.

The variety that we offer in our store may be grown in the open field or under covers. In both cases we encourage you to produce seedlings in the spring and transplant well developed, hardened seedlings to the permanent site after May 15th. 'Lolek' tomato needs access to sunlight and a moist soil rich in humus.
