Dwarf green French bean "Yin Yang" (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a one of its kind variety. Its low, bushy habit allows to grow it not only on the field, allotment, or garden vegetable bed, but also on a balcony, in a pot or decorative basket. This plant develops numerous, broad, vividly green pods that are oval in cross section. Their walls grow without the hard, inedible, waxy inside layer. Each pod contains 4 to 5 seeds that take on colours that we would not find among other bean cultivars: black and white. The colouring scheme resembles this of the famous Chinese Yin - Yang symbol.
Seeds of the dwarf green French bean "Yin Yang" should be sown directly in the second half of spring or in early summer. Container cultivation is also possible - when we decide to proceed that way, seeds can be sown at home a little earlier. Seedlings need a sunny site and moderately heavy, fertile, moist, yet permeable soil in order to develop properly. You may start to harvest the green pods in middle of September. One may consume them directly after the harvest, cooked or roasted, or only husk the seeds. Thick, black-and-white seeds turn into a valuable food and original decoration.
Each package contains 10 g of "Yin Yang" dwarf green French bean seeds. Package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
