The 'Irma' garden balsam is an annual plant of extraordinary beauty. Extremely large, light pink flowers are clearly visible between the luscious green, lanceolate leaves with dentate edges. This rose balsam grows 30 cm high and is densely covered with leaves along the entire length of the stem. The beautiful, wavy petals give the flowers even more charm. The garden balsams are tremendous plants for flower beds and borders. Since they grow low, 30 cm, they are suitable for the foreground of compositions. They are perfect as a pastel, graceful border filling and fit into containers on balconies and terraces. The flower stalks can also be used in table decorations. A bouquet of light pink flowers will add some casual elegance to the interior decorations during a family gathering.
Rose balsam grows well in the sun and in partial shade. The site should also have a fertile and medium compact soil. A moderate humidity level of the soil is required, but the plants require irrigation only during dry and sunny summers.
Rose balsam seeds can be sown in April in greenhouses or in May directly into the ground. Seedling should be hardened before transplantation. Transfer them to the target site after May 15, when the risk of frost has passed. The optimal spacing for this variety is 30 × 30 cm.
One package contains 2 grams of seeds. The basic plant facts and growing tips were printed on the back of the package.
