The " Emerald" dill is an early variety, while the more mature plants are ideal seasoning for pickling. Plants of the presented variety develop abundant, dark green foliage and branch broadly. Caraway and citrus aromas can be recognized in the feathery leaves thanks to the high content of essential oils.
Dill is an irreplaceable spice plant. It constitutes a fantastic addition to soups, sauces and cabbage dishes. Young potatoes seem to lose their taste without it. Dill ideally underscores the taste of spreads, cottage cheese and stuffing. Fragrant dill leaves are great for salads. The "Emerald" variety is also recommended for drying and freezing.
Dill seeds can be sown in batches throughout the season, yet March to August are the preferred time. Harvest depends on the exact sowing date and takes place May to October. Grow dill in rows 15 x 30 cm apart. This herb prefers fertile, humus, medium compact soil. A sunny site helps the plants develop a higher content of essential oils and a better taste.
We hereby offer a large, 500-g packages of "Emerald" dill seeds. The bag is equipped with a zip lock, allowing for repeated opening and resealing. It also protects against the seeds from humidity.
The product label contains growing conditions and the sow-by date.
