King's Lynn gladiolus (Gladiolus), also called sword lily, develops magnificent and large inflorescences. The plants stand out with their erect habit and may grow up to 120 cm tall. An ear–shaped inflorescence of single purple–white flowers develops on an unbranched stem. Extended blooming period that spans from July to end of August belongs to the main advantages of this species. Gladioli look wonderful planted in larger groupings, whether in the central part of a border or on lawn. They are, however, mostly grown for cut flowers.

Gladioli should be planted in the ground in the spring in a sunny and wind–sheltered part of your garden. They do not present any special requirements in regard to the soil type. They feel best in fertile, moderately moist soil that is rich in humus and displays close–to–neutral reaction. This species is not frost–resistant, so its tubers need to be dug out and stored over the winter in a dry, airy room.

One package contains five King’s Lynn gladiolus tubers. There are essential growing instructions printed on each package.
