Gladiolus, sometimes called sword lily, "Vera Lynn" (Gladiolus) will quickly become the star of each garden border. Flowers of this splendid variety take on light purple colour and have darker petal edges. The centre of the flower is dark purple. This plant grows 100-120 cm tall. As a tall growing plant this gladiolus develops an erect, strong flowering stalk, on which even a dozen single flowers may develop. The large inflorescences of the "Vera Lynn" gladiolus will decorate your garden from July to end of August. You may also cut them, put into vases and enjoy their beauty at home, too.

Gladioli bulbs are planted 10 cm deep directly onto borders in spring. Choose a sunny and wind-sheltered spot in the garden in order to allow the gladioli to bloom long and abundantly. They can grow on almost every kind of soil that should, however, be enriched with compost or mineral fertilizer. Humous, fertile, moderately moist, yet properly drained soil guarantees the best results. The tubers do not survive winter frosts in the ground and need to be excavated in autumn and stored in an airy and cool room.

Each package contains 5 tubers of the "Vera Lynn" gladiolus. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
