Home Garden Series' "Touchon" carrot (Daucus carota) for indoor and balcony cultivation belongs to easily grown, high yield varieties with smooth, juicy and firm roots that are regularly, cylindrically shaped. They achieve similar shapes and sizes and are intensely orange. They look and taste great and also have high nutritional value. They contain plenty of healthy sugars and beta-carotene. The latter is beneficial to the sense of sight and nice tan. Roots are also rich source of vitamins B1, B2, C, E, K and PP, as well as minerals that are crucial for our immune system and proper functioning of our body.

Seeds of the "Touchon" carrot should be sown to high pots or boxes filled with permeable, fertile, universal garden soil. Plants need proper drain, regular, abundant watering, warmth and exposure to sunlight. With right care this variety produces long, juicy, delicious roots that are ideal for as a healthy snack and for homemade preserves. Carrots cultivated at home can be harvested from July until October.
