This impressive rosette gives rise to sturdy, 30-40 cm tall flower shoots. In May, small, yellowish cobs emerge atop these shoots, surrounded by light green leaf sheaths. These cobs give birth to exceptionally decorative, spherical, bright red fruits, each reaching a diameter of 1 cm, resembling rowan beads. The clustered fruits form a substantial, wide cob with high ornamental value.

To cultivate these original Italian gems, plant them in autumn, ideally between September and October, at a depth of 6-15 cm. They thrive in humus-rich, consistently moist soil, preferably with a slightly alkaline pH. Italian Arums prefer shade or partial shade and should be shielded from intense sunlight. They feel most at home near water bodies and beneath trees.
