"Jimmy" tulip of the Triumph group stands out with a slender, elegant habit and warm colours. Its beautifully shaped pink petals have orange edges. This all-fitting colour combination looks great on the silvery-green foliage of this variety. "Jimmy" tulips in full bloom show an inner golden "eye" and contrasting black anthers that character to the flowers. Stiff and strong stems of the "Jimmy" tulip grown 45 to 50 centimetres tall. The large flowers of the presented tulip take on a saturated colour and enjoy excellent vigour, as well as durability, in bad weather. The bright, courageous "Jimmy" tulip will immediately win hearts of all tulip lowers.

Tulips belong to flowering plants that are commonly grown in home gardens all over the world. Their simple yet elegant form allow you to combine them with other spring flowers. They constitute a staple of the spring change in the garden, alongside hyacinths, daffodils, grape hyacinths, pasque flowers, and the soft carpets of alyssum and lilac bush. We recommend to plant tulips at sites where, after their flowers have wilted, can be covered by other plants. We also recommend to create stunning pot and planter arrangements of colourful tulips. Tulips in containers can be used to decorate a balcony, terrace, and the stairs leading to your front door. The moderate height and resistance of the Triumph hybrid tulips enable you to grow them in rock gardens and alongside pavements and driveways. The "Jimmy" tulip variety is also recommended for spring bouquets and other cut flower arrangements.

Tulips should be planted in autumn. September and October are the best months to start tulip cultures. In order to enjoy the most beautiful ornamental properties of tulips, give them a sunny, warm situation with a permeable, loose, fertile, and moderately moist soil. Loosen the too compact soils with an admixture of sand and enrich them with compost. Plant the bulbs the pointy end up circa 12 to 15 centimetres deep, keeping similar distances between plants. Tulips usually do not require watering after planting. Should autumn not be rainy, water planted bulbs in order to let them take root. We recommend to remove the overground parts after the flowering period has ended and excavate bulbs every three to four years to upkeep the abundance of blooming. Tulips are considered frost resistant, yet they can suffer damage during extremely cold and snowless winters.
