The Lady Guinevere hosta is a variety characterized by a moderate vigour. It presents two colours on its elongated leaves - a yellow-green centre and a dark green, irregularly painted edge. These colours harmonize and create a distinct, attention-attracting spot on a flower bed mulched with bark or pebbles. Leaf edges, particularly of young plants, can be slightly frilled. Plants only get more attractive as they bloom. Slender shoots that protrude from in-between brightly coloured foliage are covered with long trumpet-shaped flowers. You can admire their incredible dark pink colour in July. A few-years old Lady Guinevere hosta that has acclimatized in the garden, reaches height of 40 to 45 centimetres and may grow 75 to 80 centimetres wide. We recommend planting this variety at bright spots that are not directly exposed to sunlight. Their leaves would take on the unique golden-yellow colour in such conditions. Hostas are exceptionally decorative plants. They can be used as covering plants under trees or in less illuminated garden parts. Their nice, rather regular form harmonizes with ferns, bleeding hearts, leopard's bane, and the erect bugbane.

Growing hostas does not belong to difficult gardening tasks. The ornamental value of the plant is immense. You can plant this species any time in spring or summer, from May to first days of October. Hosta rhizomes should be placed in a light, fertile, humous, and moist soil. Presented species tolerates various kinds of soil and will grow even in acidic environment. Plant this perennial in 30 to 60 centimetres spacings. Water the site sparsely and cover with a layer of mulch after planting. You can feed the new plants in spring with a dab of compost or a dose of a long-lasting fertilizer. After a few years, fertilization would not be needed anymore.

Indicated price is valid for 1 one first-choice rhizome of the presented hosta variety. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
