The "Brocade" Mexican marigold is a charming mix of dwarf varieties of this species. Large, double flowers in all shades of yellow, rusty red, red and orange look attractive from late spring until first autumn frosts. The beautiful frills of flowers perfectly harmonize with the lush green leaves. They take a low (20-25 cm) habit of small bushy tufts, that resemble delicate balls sprinkled with flowers. This species is ideal for border and flowerbed edgings due to its small size. It will perfectly fit onto path or pavement edgings, too. "Brocade" marigolds are also reliable container plants that will adorn balconies, terraces and other corners of the garden.

The variety presented here, like the majority of this species, is very easy to grow. It has low growing requirements and should thrive in virtually every garden. It is resistant to adverse atmospheric conditions and will withstand temporary drought.

Seeds of the "Brocade" low growing Mexican marigold can be sown on hotbeds, in order to obtain seedlings in March and April, or directly to the borders at the permanent site in May. Flowering takes place from June to October. Recommended spacings between plants: 20 x 20 cm.
