The Octopus variety of gladiolus is a truly unique plant. It will be the love at first sight at its waved flowers. That seducing charm is underscored by a charming creamy-white colour with a hint of celadon green and pastel yellow that can be observed in flower centres and on buds. Narrow, linear, pointed, green leaves provide a great background for frilled blooms.  A mature plant reaches 110 centimetres. The flowering period lasts long, from July to September. The Octopus variety is sometimes considered semi-double due to hundreds of frills and waves that adorn its petals. It is worth growing this treasure at a showcase spot of a border or lawn. It will make a stunning impression as a decoration of a balcony or a relaxation spot on a terrace, planted in a large planter that would fit its majestic form. You must not forget about gladiolus qualities as a cut flower. The spectacular and durable flower of the Octopus variety would enrich every bouquet and composition that you make.

Plant gladioli from mid-April, throughout May, until first days of June. Planting the bulbs in batches, every 2 to 3 weeks, significantly extends the flowering period. The soil where you intend to grow this plant should be fertile, permeable, and with a neutral reaction, preferably rich in humus too.  We recommend keeping the soil moderately yet continually moist. Keep 10 to 15 centimetre spacings when planting. Planting depth should exceed 10 or 12 centimetres. This species does not belong to hardy ones. You must store bulbs after digging them out in autumn in rooms that are protected from frost.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
